For unconditional admission to the Doctor of Philosophy program, an applicant must have a master's degree or 30 semester hours of graduate credit in physics or a related field and satisfy the general admission requirements of the University, including a minimum graduate coursework GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, as calculated by Graduate Admissions and favorable letters of recommendation from individuals able to assess the applicant's potential for success in a Ph.D. program.
