The Master of Arts in Education Principles and Practices at Saint Louis University's School of Education is an innovative, in-residence degree program designed to serve teachers and leaders working in schools as well as education advocates who work in out-of-school contexts.Through core coursework accompanied by courses in a chosen area of specialization - advanced literacy methods or educational equity - students gain tools to improve in their everyday work with youth, communicate research-based best practices to diverse audiences, and work for change in collaboration with local stakeholders.Learning Outcomes-Graduates will be able to critically analyze scholarly work in the field of education.Graduates will be able to apply research-based best practices to problems grounded in educational literature.Graduates will be able to communicate research-based best practices to diverse educational stakeholders.Graduates will be able to collaborate with a variety of educational stakeholders.Graduates will demonstrate understanding of the structures that influence the provision of educational services (including policies, laws, and governmental systems).
