Apa yang akan saya pelajari?

The Master of Education in Reading Program is a 30-hour, non-thesis program that includes a non-credit seminar at the conclusion of the certification program. The program is designed around criteria established by the State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC). Learning experiences and assignments in this program are designed in order to provide the learner with sufficient theoretical and experiential knowledge to serve successfully as a literacy specialist in the role of classroom teacher, literacy coach, or administrator. Our program provides graduates with the upper hand to educate in the fields of Reading, English as a Second Language, and Bilingual Education through the different tracks provided.

A Bachelor's degree from an institution accredited by a DOE recognized Institutional Accrediting Agency;

Evidence of sound moral character and compatibility with DBU's mission;

A likelihood of academic success as demonstrated by a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale in all previous coursework;

Two recommendation forms from non-family members;

A current professional resume.

Additional conditions of full admission may be specified by individual degree programs and/or the Master's Degrees Admission Committee.

English Proficiency Test Scores (good for 2 years after test date)

  • TOEFL - 79 (internet or paper)
  • IELTS (Academic) - Overall Band: 6.0 (No section band lower than 5.5)
  • PTE (Academic) - 53
  • CAE - 169
  • MET - 65
  • iTEP - 3.9
  • DET - 110 (No sub score lower than 90)
