The Master of Education program at Worcester State University is designed for US and international students with diverse academic backgrounds who are pursuing careers in education but are not seeking licensure in Massachusetts as public school teachers. The program focuses on curriculum studies and your professional interests through a variety of electives in content or pedagogy.This program offers you the flexibility to design your own personalized course of study that meets your unique needs and goals. What’s more, you will be able to advance your career at your own pace: You can complete the program as a part-time student, taking 1 or 2 courses a semester, or as a full-time student, with the option to complete your master’s degree in 1 year. Courses are offered in a range of formats, including in person, online, and hybrid (a mixture of both). You will also conduct research on a topic of interest to you, creating the proposal yourself and carrying out the project under the guidance of a faculty member.Graduates of our program go on to rewarding teaching and leadership positions in private, public, and international schools. While many pursue careers in K-12 teaching, administration, and finance, others find success in higher education as well as in training, program administration, and supervision.
