The Master of Science in Industrial Management is an interdisciplinary program that prepares graduates to assume leadership roles and positions in a variety of industrial, processing, and/or construction industries. The program will familiarize students with philosophies and strategies currently used for improving production and provide students with further technical knowledge in areas such as quality assurance, industrial safety, and automated production. Students will also become familiar with research methods and techniques commonly used to solve problems in industrial settings.

All students admitted to this program are expected to have a baccalaureate degree in a technical-related discipline. If students hold degrees from unrelated disciplines, then they may be required to take at least four undergraduate technical courses.
In addition, all students should have at least one accounting course and one other advanced business course. Twelve of the eighteen prerequisite hours required in the major must be advanced course work.
The minimum score required is a 6.0 overall band score. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 79 (Internet-based) or 550(Paper-based) is the university minimum requirement for all Graduate students.
