Our master’s degree in sports leadership prepares you to apply leadership, administrative, and sports science principles to effectively manage athletic programs and teams, regulatory agencies, fitness/rehabilitation facilities and health clubs, sports recreation services, and other related services to leadership positions within the sports industry.This interdisciplinary program is not only limited to athletes or those interested in coaching but is designed for graduates from different backgrounds wishing to obtain specialized training and find success in a sports industry sector that most interest them. Under the guidance of our expert faculty, you will identify your elective courses and enjoy dynamic classes that combine hands-on experience in state-of-the-art intercollegiate, interscholastic, and professional team athletic facilities in the Tulsa community with invaluable academic studies.The community of Tulsa boasts three professional sports teams as well as numerous colleges and high athletic programs. Our faculty and staff have a great working relationship with industry professionals and will help you grow a meaningful network. Internship and externship experiences are a vital element of the program. What happens on the campus makes the game possible and you’ll start obtaining invaluable real-world experience by working with one of three local professional teams or one of the numerous intercollegiate athletic programs.
