Professional Communication Certificate of Undergrad Study

This 12-hour certificate allows students to study theories and techniques of workplace and leadership communication. Using organizational and leadership communication theories, students will critically reflect on practices of workplace and leadership communication, while also learning to communicate complex information to lay audiences within various professional and technical genres, including reports, proposals, instructions, and educational materials. Towards this end, students will gain skills in audience analysis, business presentation, and interviewing strategies, organizational culture analysis, document design, style and editing, and research. Students will become more aware of theories and strategies of oral and written communication through close analysis of organizations and professional and technical exemplary texts. The Professional Communication CUGS is a full-time or part-time program offered in a face-to-face format at our Rowan College at Burlington County campus. It requires the completion of 12 semester hours (4 courses). The following is a list of items required to begin the application process for the program. There may be additional action or materials required for admission to the program. Upon receipt of the materials below, a representative from the Rowan Global Admissions Processing Office will contact you with confirmation or will indicate any missing items. Submitting the Application Form is only the first step to beginning the admission process. All of the required materials listed above must be received on or before the application completion deadline for your desired entry term to be considered for admission to that term.
