The BA degree is a broad degree, offering a wide variety of subjects, which means you will have an equally diverse range of postgraduate and career options following your degree. Aside from specific subject knowledge, you will also gain intellectual, social and management skills that can be applied in a variety of jobs.

The quality of a degree is as important as the subjects selected, and about 70% of employers who contact UCC look for graduates with overall good marks, rather than from a specific discipline.

This is a full-time three-year honours programme. You will study four subjects in Year 1. In Year 2 you will choose two subjects from Year 1 and continue to degree level. Arts at UCC offers:

Band 3 Programmes - Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 High School Diploma PLUS New SAT: Minimum 1140 or ACT: 23. Additional Requirements -Where Maths is required for a specific degree programme, a minimum score of 640 in SAT or ACT 28 in Maths component or AP 3 is required. Where a Lab Science subject is required for a specific degree programme, a minimum AP score of 3 is required in a Lab Science subject.
