BA (Hons) Music Production & Sound Engineering degree provides opportunities for you to develop a diverse skill set that will enable you to thrive in the music industry. You will learn from established industry professionals who have worked with artists like Pharrell, Lily Allen, and The Killers, and study alongside fellow producers, engineers, musicians and DJs with whom you will create your own network.As an undergraduate in this programme, you will have the chance to explore your creativity and discover your artistic voice while developing technical expertise and knowledge in areas such as sound design, sound engineering, remix culture, media composition and game audio. You will also gain a working understanding of the music industry, learning how to maximise revenue streams, market yourself and develop a career strategy.The course is largely practical but is underpinned by key theoretical principles that inform areas such as sound engineering, sound synthesis and sampling, music composition and more. Building your knowledge in these areas will support your decision-making, boost your confidence in professional settings and make you more employable in a highly competitive industry.You will be taught in our brand-new Penn Street campus full of state-of-the-art industry standard equipment including three SSL mixing consoles: a 48 channel SSL Duality Delta and two 48 channel SSL Origins plus two 7-speaker Dolby Atmos immersive technology systems.
