Apa yang akan saya pelajari?

Research within this theme focuses on understanding laser processing and joining and how this can be applied to industrial applications. This includes but is not limited to the investigation of laser welding to enhance and optimise joining in the manufacturing of electric vehicle batteries, surface engineering applications in the development and enhancement of hydrogen fuel cells and drilling/laser incision for enhancing wood modification and preservative treatments for the timber industry. Our mission is to become essential to our industrial partners by providing novel laser-based applications to help them achieve their aspirations. Our research aims to increase our understanding of laser-material interactions and how laser processing and joining can be optimised and enhanced for industrial applications.

Untuk mahasiswa internasional

A minimum of a 2:1 first degree in a relevant discipline/subject area with a minimum 60 percentage mark in the project element or equivalent with a minimum 60 percentage overall module average. In the event of a first degree classification of less than 2:1, a Masters Degree in a relevant subject area will be considered as an equivalent. The Masters must have been attained with minimum overall marks at merit level (60 percentage) (Or higher where stipulated against a specific opportunity). In addition, the dissertation or equivalent element in the Masters must also have been attained with a minimum mark of merit level (60 percentage).
