The B.S. program in Middle-Level Math Education offers strong academic and practical preparation to teach mathematics in grades 6–8, along with the tools and knowledge to support multilingual learners through ESL-focused coursework. This program offers hands-on experiences and instruction in math content, pedagogy, and strategies for supporting multilingual learners. Students must have official high school or university transcripts and it must be mailed directly from your high school or university to MTSU. For guaranteed admission, applicants must have completed the recommended college preparatory courses and must present one of the following: GPA 3.0 OR.Minimum composite ACT score of 22 OR minimum SAT total score of 1100 (Evidence Based Reading, Writing and Math).If you do not meet either of the above requirements you will need: Minimum 2.7 GPA plus ACT score of 19 OR SAT score of 990 (Evidence-Based Reading or Writing and Math).
